I loved the look of these boots but was concerned about the size/fit. The narrow toe scared me, as well as the ratings saying it fit narrow. I have never really found cowboy boots that I thought were really comfortable, even though I keep trying because of the look. Ariats were about the best I had found, but still weren't 100% what I wanted. I also don't usually wear shoes with a narrow toe, but I found by going with a longer size, rather than wider, it solved both problems.
I normally wear an 8b, rarely 8.5. What I did was get the 8.5, my toes end where the boot is still wide enough to be comfortable. I tried them on and they felt pretty good right away, just a little narrow and slipped a lot in the heel. After wearing them around the house for a couple of hours, they fit perfectly! They are very comfortable, and only slip very slightly in the heel now, which is normal for cowboy boots and not enough to cause problems.
These are really comfortable boots and fit great, with good arch support, and they look fantastic. The leather soles with rubber heels make them perfect for dancing, too! (But don't wear leather soles for motorcycle riding, you don't want to slip when you put your foot down and dump your bike).
I never had any luck with leather "breaking-in" before, but the *slightly* tight feel around my foot did ease up quickly, and now they feel great!
