I'm a service foreman in the HVAC & R industry. I've been in the field for eight years. I do industrial, heavy commercial work only, in foundries, super-markets and processing plants. These boots are the only pair of boots I've ever had that lasted more than eight months (under heavy use). I've owned expensive wolverine lines, carolina lines and cheap "heavy duty steel toed safety shoes". None have outlasted or out performed the CAT's. I used to be able to find these boots locally. Wal-Mart must have found them to be of too high quality (not enough repeat sales to the same customer because they last) and discontinued them. I'm very happy to have found the boot barn and my precious CAT's. I will be ordering another pair soon to swap with my current pair while they're drying by the fire this winter.

I'm a returning customer to the one and only "true" work boot. I'm an electrical engineer by trade but do alot of "get your boots scuffed and dirty" work outside. I've been thru many brands that try to compare to 8" height requirements I use (Payless, Shoeteria, SEARS and others). My recent pair of 8"er's have lost there footing, slipping all over the place and my heavy right foot has wore down the sole to 45 degree angle (they're not CAT's). Speaking from 10+ years experience - "I've tried the rest but I'm going back to the BEST".

I've come to see that once you've been with the best quality and style on the market it's real easy to spot the cheap imitations. With them you truly do get what you paid for.

CAT's traction and style put the "strut" back into your step.

I am a General Contractor working on a variety of projects in all types of conditions. In addition to work, these are also my bike riding boots. They are outstanding. My first pair lasted from 1998 to 2002 and the second pair from 2002 to 2006. Today I am purchasing my third pair hoping that they will still be available in a few years.

I literally wore nothing but my CATs for 8 years straight. They didn't look so great for the last few, but they were still comfortable and usable right to the end. I wore these for work, riding, and casually out on the town with a little spit shinning. I got compliments on my "cool" boots all the time when they were newer. Got the tough look for riding too. Best of all though they are just straight up TOUGH! & super comfortable. After looking at a dozen or so other "top" brands I think I'll stick with what I know I'll love to wear.
